GeneTAG Technology offers custom-designed iDDS probe assays for essentially any target. iDDS probes employ competitive antiprobes for error-resistant single-base discrimination over 20–30ºC annealing temperature ranges. This design strategy makes iDDS probes an excellent choice for NGS validation, SNP analysis, or discriminating homologous targets.
ZIPR primer-probes have a probe: antiprobe design that is similar to the iDDS probe system, although the 3' ends of ZIPR probes are not blocked and they serve as a primer-probe. This design provides a measure of error-checking when detecting gene fusions or other targets. Dual ZIPR probe assays label both ends of PCR amplicons for true detection of gene fusions or other targets.
Our custom Universal probe assays use generic components that can be provided at lower cost. Universal probes involve a 2-step amplification process. The first step extends the amplicon with the universal sequence and then all amplicons are labeled in the second step with the Universal probe.
