Dual-iDDS probe assay for Trichomonas vaginalis

Trichomonas vaginalis (TV) is the causative agent of trichomoniasis, the most common curable sexually transmitted disease worldwide. This assay contains two TV iDDS probe/antiprobe pairs and a pair of flanking primers.
The iDDS probes detect separate sites within a repetitive genomic TV sequence in the FAM and HEX channels. The excess matching quencher-labeled antiprobes prevent false-positive detection of TV-negative DNA samples.
